[When his parents had announced that they would be out for the weekend, Rei had wasted no time calling Rin and asking if he wanted to come over. His parents hadn't told him he could invite anyone, but what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them.
(Sometimes he wondered whether becoming such a rebel was Nagisa's influence or Rin's.)
For once, he didn't have much of a plan for their time together. They could go out or stay in. They could go to a restaurant or cook together. Honestly, Rei didn't mind what they did as long as Rin was there (within reason!).
When there's a knock at his door, Rei practically jogs to answer it. Which is purely to be polite, of course, and not from any desire to get this weekend alone together started as soon as possible.]
Hello!
[He greets everybody this enthusiastically. Really.]

Hello!
[He greets everybody this enthusiastically. Really.]

But then Rei pulls away, and Rin is confused for all of a half second, until the inevitable sass follows up. Trust him to resort to that.]
You just never learn, do you? [He starts with a smirk, taking his sweet time to cover the space between himself and the bathroom; it's not a real race, and he's in no hurry to give in.] Leaving your back unguarded like that... I'm starting to think you want to get bitten.
no subject
[His voice sounds innocent as he reaches into the shower and turns on the water to let it start warming up. Then he leans against the wall to wait. When Rin enters, he launches his attack, wrapping his arms around Rin again and kissing him hungrily.]
Why would I want that?
[It's whispered against Rin's lips. He moves to kiss at Rin's neck instead. His hips grind against Rin's.
Maybe he's a little bit of a horndog. But it's mostly Rin's fault.]
no subject
Rin surrenders to Rei's attentions for a moment longer, only fighting back when Rei moves even the slightest inch away from him; it's a good thing he's pressed up against the wall, and like this he can support most of his weight on his back and one leg, the other tangling itself around Rei's calf to keep their hips connected. This is more like their usual routine, fast and rambunctious, and though Rin misses their gentle lovemaking from earlier, this is just fine for a second round.]
Dunno. [Said in a breathless moan, the heat from their bodies and warm shower catching up to him.] Why don't you tell me...?
[And then he's on Rei again, teeth scraping and nibbling on his ears and cheeks and whatever bits of skin he can find within closest reach, given their position. Time to rile him up that little bit more.]
timeskip for shower sex?
Toweling off, Rei examines himself in the foggy mirror, noting what he can tell are bite marks on his shoulders and neck. A year ago, he never would have thought someone biting him would be something he could enjoy, but seeing the possessive marks now gives him a pleasant shiver.]
Did you decide what you want for dinner?
oya /o/
You.
[It's said in the easiest simplicity of tone, as though Rei's cue left room for no other answer. And indeed, it didn't.
Insatiable though he may be, he's not going to feast on his boyfriend again right away, or else they really won't get anything else done. Instead, he nuzzles Rei's neck, and kisses the bite marks he left on his skin earlier, fond and affectionate.]
But I guess it's not fair that only I get to eat, so why don't you choose?
no subject
Let's make something easy... We probably have ingredients for gyudon.
[Trying to think of what food is available in their kitchen is hard when Rin's lips are all over him, but he tries.]
If we don't, we can probably improvise something... And you'll have to stop distracting me.
[He doesn't really seem to want the distraction to stop, leaning back a little into Rin's hold, though not enough to knock them off balance, exposing a little more of his neck.]
no subject
[And while Rei is encouraging him, Rin takes this chance to kiss him further up the neck, then behind his earlobes, finishing off with some more nuzzling. Sometimes he wishes Rei would return his attentions the same way, with open touching and public displays, but he also has to admit he's come a long way since they first started. He can be patient, it's totally worth it.]
Hmm, you smell so nice... [He hums into his skin, indulging in the moment for a moment longer. Watching their reflection on the mirror, and Rei's fresh out of the shower smell filling up his nostrils, Rin can't help but feel very domestic, very at peace with his life. Arms wrapped tight around his boyfriend and head resting on his shoulder, he wishes he could stay here for longer, that he never had to pull away.
Alas, he knows that can't be, and they really need to get started on dinner. Why must practicality get in the way of his romantic daydreams...]
So, gyudon, huh? [He pries himself off Rei with a sigh.] I'll handle the meat.
no subject
And there's dinner that needs to be made and eaten. The sooner it's done, the sooner they can go back to... whatever this is. Mooning over each other, Rei supposes. Showering each other in all the love they can before they go back to their lives outside this weekend, to more subdued affections in front of their friends, to busy schedules and nights alone.
Well, it's not time to despair yet - the night isn't even finished yet, and there's still more to come.
Hand locked securely in Rin's, he starts to lead him back to his bedroom.]
We're putting on clothes first. I'm not exactly unhappy with our current state, but I'm not cooking naked.
[Chances are hot grease would pop out of the pan Rin uses to cook the meat and burn Rei. That's his kind of luck.]
no subject
Afraid I'm gonna fry you up instead of the beef? [He grins at his own tease, but otherwise doesn't protest, letting Rei lead the way back to his bedroom, hand in hand. Sometimes they're both contrary for the sake of being contrary, but he rather likes this easygoing mood they have going for a change, and he plans to keep it up.
Of course, his ulterior motive is that, like this, it's a lot easier to go back to their pathetically mushy selves, and Rin has pretty much unilaterally decided this is going to be their agenda for the weekend.]
Just promise me you're not going to change into those pajamas right away, okay? I'm not that bad a cook I'm about to spill hot oil on you, but if you wear that thing in the kitchen, I might as well aim for the 'flies.
[All right, maybe this isn't as easygoing as he was planning, but hey, at least he's giving fair warning.]
no subject
[Rei sounds affronted for show, though he isn't honestly offended. He knows Rin likes to tease him about his pajamas, he knows there is also nothing Rin can do if he wants to wear them.
But right now, he goes for some sweat pants and a sweat shirt he has, which only have one small butterfly on the breast and pocket. He finds his glasses were they were placed earlier, and so dressed, waits on Rin to join him before heading for the kitchen.]
After dinner maybe we could actually watch that movie.
[He has a feeling the second they settle down on the couch they'll be on each other again, even if only to cuddle this time, but he doesn't voice that suspicion.]
no subject
He changes back into his tank top, and contemplates just lounging around in his boxer briefs, but that might be counterproductive to doing anything that isn't Rei. So he puts on his sweat pants and follows Rei to the kitchen, and his only reaction to the butterflies on his outfit is a mild roll of eyes. ]
I don't think you're terribly interested in the movie, but sure. [Said not only in reference to the genre itself, but because he's under the impression Rei wants more cuddling on the couch, not that Rin is complaining.]
But! Dinner first, right? What do you want me to do?
[He doesn't want to be too shameless, this is still Rei's parents' place, after all.]
no subject
Rei blushes a little at the comment about the movie. He doesn't really mind his intentions being that transparent, but he's not usually the one suggesting cuddles. Usually neither of them suggest it, they just naturally gravitate that way. Maybe this is a shift toward being more comfortable with asking for things rather than waiting for them.
But he can worry about that later. For now, he pulls out a pan, some oils and spices, and the ingredients out of the fridge.]
I'll prep and you can cook. Do you mind going and throwing away that popcorn while I slice the meat?
no subject
Sure, I got that.
[Ever the helpful and courteous young man he is, Rin marches off to the living room without protest; he's motivated by the prospect of cuddling, of course, but he also feels a genuine urge to give a hand, partially because it triggers back his daydreams of domesticity. He likes to imagine a time like this in the future, a quiet evening cooking dinner together in a place to call their own. One day, he tells himself.
But for now he focuses on cleaning up, takes a sip from his formerly iced tea and decides there's no salvaging the poor drink from it's spiraling descent into the kitchen sink. The popcorn, however, he still finds use for: flicking a kernel off at Rei, that is. And another. However many more were needed to grab his attention.
This is very much counterproductive to engaging in fondling activities on the couch, but they can spare a moment for a bit of friendly food fight.]
no subject
He turns to look at Rin, just in time to take one against the lens of his glasses. Really now.]
Is there a reason you're doing that?
[He quirks an eyebrow, pausing in slicing the meat, mostly because if he tries to slice without looking he'll cut a finger and that is not the way he wants this night to end.]
It's very distracting.
no subject
Yeah? I always have a reason, you know.
[Standing in the living room with a bowl of popcorn in his arms, it looks like Rin has the upper hand in this unspoken war, and it's an advantage he's going to make very good use for.]
For one, it's fun. [He flicks another kernel at Rei.] Two, you look really cute when you do that cross-eyed thing. [Flick.] Three and more importantly, I feel like it.
[And another flick. Come on, Rei, indulge him for a minute, set your inner child free. It's not going to hurt.]
no subject
I don't go cross-eyed.
[He totally does go cross-eyed as the kernel bounces off his face, unable to swat it down before it collided. He's been trying, but he's not been very successful.
More than that, he doesn't have any ammo, except the kernels Rin has already sent flying at his face. But if he starts returning those... what if they get stepped on? They're going to make a terrible mess.
He doesn't give in. His inner child is still locked away.] You're going to have to clean this up.
no subject
I don't mind cleaning, you know. [Said with a shrug, and another kernel is tossed at Rei. Then another. This isn't as fun to do when he has an entire bowl as ammo and Rei has got nothing to use-- on top of Rei's anal retentive ways, that is. If only he could at least get a reaction out of him, make him loosen up a little...
Time for Plan B: hit him where it hurts.]
I could even clean up the entire place for you, if you could beat me at this. [Another kernel is flicked, to make a statement. 'Course I'd get to choose my own reward for winning, so I guess I can understand why you're so scared of losing...
no subject
It's really unfair, how well Rin knows him.]
Scared? Of losing to you?
[He actually loses to Rin in several areas (thought not all of them) so this cockiness is unwarranted, but confidence is key in life!]
It seems I have no choice then. [He picks up a kernel with a dramatic flourish, probably crushing it as he does, and, despite his misgivings, flicks it back at Rin.
He's going to regret this later.]
no subject
Okay, time out! [His hands form a T shape as he calls out, then he makes his way to the kitchen area; if this is a serious(ly silly) game, then he's not about to have an unfair advantage, so he grabs two fistful of popcorn and lays it down on the counter. Now they both have ammo-- though Rin still kept the rest of the bowl.
With that out of the way, he scampers off back to the living room and finds shelter behind the couch.]
Ready?
[And before Rei can give his okay, Rin is at it again, firing kernel after kernel at his boyfriend from across the room. An actual child, really.]
no subject
You cheated!
[He pokes out around the end of the counter and throws more kernels.]
no subject
[Yes, he's going to at least win the argument on a technicality, if he can't win the actual war-- because it's true, they haven't established any rules. As far as Rin is concerned, they're just tossing popcorn at each other, and hoping the other will beg for mercy first.
Still crouching, he moves from behind the couch to a chair; there's no as much room for shelter like this, but it's mostly just for show, to pretend he actually cares about this silly popcorn war he just made up on a whim. His child self would probably be proud to see him now.]
Maybe you're just complaining because you want to give up already! [Said as several kernels are fired in Rei's general direction, almost an entire fistful, really.]
no subject
[He pokes out from around the counter again, throwing more of the kernels. Half of his ammunition is gone now - if he wants to "defeat" Rin, he'll have to take a new approach.
Holding the popcorn in his hands (and probably crushing most of it), he does a summersault out from behind the counter, to the couch. Then he scuttles along behind it, coming right for Rin.]
I won't surrender!
no subject
Either way, the somersault works more as a distraction than as a method to shorten the distance, Rin's eyes wide open in a mix of wonder and disbelief-- maybe his boyfriend was a bit of a peacock.]
That's some infamous last words there, Rei!
[Still, he's got the upper hand here, at least when it comes to ammo, so when Rei does his final move, Rin counters it with a reckless move-- sneaking out from behind his chair to toss an entire fistful of popcorn right at Rei's face, even if it means he's left wide open for his boyfriend's attack.]
Take this!
no subject
He blinks and splutters when the popcorn hits his face, smudging his glasses beyond hope, but he keeps moving, coming after Rin.]
I won't lose today, Rin!
[Said just before he throws the last of the popcorn all at once, except he's so close to Rin at this point that he starts to fall into him after the throw.]
no subject
[Though Rin shoves both arms forth in a feeble attempt at giving Rei some support, even his practiced muscles weren't quite ready for the sudden impact, and as a result, they both wind up losing their balance, toppled to the floor with his boyfriend piling up on him in a helpless heap. Utterly embarrassing, and given that Rei is involved, Rin can't say he's really surprised.
But he's not upset, either, if the open laughter that follows is any indication.]
You huge doofus! [He manages to splutter in between fits of giggles, one hand running across Rei's side to make sure he hadn't injured himself in his fall.] Are you okay?
